The BMLA Inter-School Foreign Language Quiz, 2005

On Friday February 11, the Bahamas Modern Languages Association held it's first Inter-School Foreign Language Quiz Competition.  Five schools took part in the French Quiz and seven, including the Government High School in the Spanish quiz.

Competition was fierce as GHS battled its way into the third and final round along with other finalists St. Andrews and CR Walker. St. Andrews, showing their strength all through the competition,  proved to be stronger than both GHS and CR Walker.  However, the GHS team of  Jody-Ann Mills,  Gaynell Delmohanied and Laneka Adams answered several crucial questions and proudly gained the THIRD PRIZE in this keenly contested quiz.  Hearty congratulations go to these talented students!  Their teacher, Mrs. E. Miller-Brooks, who spent long hours preparing her team, is also to be highly commended.  Congratulations, Mrs. Miller-Brooks.
